Hello. My name is Claire. Thank you for taking a look at my website. It will guide you through how I can help to support you, your organisation and your people. If you are dealing with complex people challenges, navigating leadership issues, or need an experienced, independent perspective, I will be able to help. I have worked with people, and on relationships, throughout my entire career sucessfully leading large teams, or meeting ambitious fundraising targets. Nowadays, I work across four core areas supporting commercial organisations, charities and infrastructure bodies in a practical, people focussed way.
What I do:

People: From mediation, to mentoring, to leadership development, I help when things are going ok but could be better or indeed when things have become difficult. My direct, independent, fair approach works.

Governance: I ensure organisations have the right people, and therefore the right structure and skills to lead and deliver.

Operations: Years of leading teams in large and regional organisations means I can quickly take action with real impact whilst building trust in the team through my people centred approach.

Raising money and Engagement: Having been a fundraiser for over 25 years, I ensure organisations strengthen their plans - be it internally or externally focussed- around funding and engagement by supporting the people doing the actual work. Being able to draw on years of experience ensures that my input is quick, to the point and change commences straight away.

To give you a flavour of the experience over the last 25 years, I have been lucky to have worked for some amazing organisations. I've led the national Fundraising, Communications and Engagement team of 60 for RSPB England during COVID. I was the youngest appointed Director of Fundraising for a top 100 charity, when I headed up the International Fundraising team for SSAFA -The Armed Forces Charity. I served on the Board of The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity with responsibility for income generation and communications. Locally, I've held a Vice Chair and Trusteeship of the regional charity Home-Start Cambridgeshire, alongside serving as Vice Chair of Governors of an Infant School for 5 years. Earlier on in my career I have had multiple other roles ranging from working directly for the Lord Mayor of London on his Charitable Appeal, to setting up fundraising for the Cambridge Literary Festival. Alongside others, all have provided rich and varied experiences, challenges and achievements.
