Hello. My name is Claire.  Thank you for taking a look at my page - I hope I can help.

 

I have worked with people and on relationships, throughout my entire career. Now I work across four core areas supporting commercial organisations, infrastructure bodies, and charities in a practical, people focussed way.

What I do  

  • People: From mediation, to mentoring, to leadership development I help when things are going well or indeed when things have become difficult, my direct, independent, fair approach can really help.

  • Governance: I help organisations with ensuring they have the right people, and therefore the right structure and skills leading their organisation.

  • Engagement: Be it internal or externally focussed, my years of leading teams in large and regional organisations mean my audience centred approach really gains trust and action quickly and with real impact.

  • Raising money: Having been a fundraiser since I left secondary school, I help organisations to strengthen their plans around funding. Being able to draw on years of experience ensures that my input is quick, to the point and change commences straight away.

I have over 25 years of experience in the workplace. I've led the national Fundraising, Communications and Engagement team of 60 for RSPB England during COVID, delivered as Director of Fundraising for an International Military Charity, locally held a 5-year Vice Chair and Trusteeship of a regional charity and been Vice Chair of Governors for 6 years for an infant school.  Alongside these I have had multiple other roles ranging from within the Lord Mayor's Appeal to the Cambridge Literary Festival.

​I now deliver a wide range of freelance services, including:

  • Chairing dismissal appeals and resolving complex grievances as an independent lead

  • Supporting organisations to build effective fundraising teams and learning how to forge mutual relationships

  • Focused development of senior leadership teams

  • Delivering successful, multi-layered recruitment projects

 

I specialise in people-focused work — mentoring, mediation and leadership development — delivered in a fully bespoke way. I also provide short-term, discreet support for specific issues. My aim is simple: to get the job done efficiently and effectively.

I continue to provide one-to-one mentoring, currently supporting middle managers and offering crisis support to a CEO.
